Swarm Intelligence and Fuzzy Systems 

Past research has shown that swarm intelligence techniques and fuzzy logic are two useful tools for solving practical engineering problems. This book examines how each of these tools can be utilized for improving the performance of another. Also discussed herein is the capability of swarm intelligence optimization techniques to obtain the optimal fuzzy systems parameters. The above-mentioned topics are followed by tackling practical problems in pattern recognition, multi-objective benchmarks, and space allocation. In each practical problem, the comparison results with other heuristic methods are provided. Also, a review on some of the past and ongoing research is presented.
