Ummed Singh
Discrimination in India
Different types of Partiality in India

Soporte

When someone is prejudiced and behaves, it can lead to discrimination. Discrimination against any person on the basis of religion, caste, gender, or regionality is called discrimination. Some examples of discrimination are given below.

Gender discrimination: In some villages, girls are not allowed to study after fifth or sixth grade. Most of the girls are not allowed to do any employment after studies, rather they are forced to marry. In many families, boys wear western clothes but girls are not allowed to wear western clothes.

Religious discrimination: Many times people are not given jobs due to being of a particular religion. Due to religion, people are not allowed to visit certain public places (especially places of worship).

Caste discrimination: The caste system in India is quite old. According to this system, people are divided into different castes. Different jobs are prescribed for each caste person. For example, a person born in the Mahar caste is made only to clear the garbage and remove dead animals from the village. Even after reading and writing, people could not change their profession.
