In the 1920s, David and his wife Catherine went on a honeymoon from Paris to the Mediterranean Sea in the south of France. David wants to continue writing, but his wife just wants to have fun. She gets her hair cut short by a hairdresser, and even encourages her husband to love Marita, a foreign girl, with whom she made acquiantance. The three of them engage in dangerous sex games. But "good life" doesn’t last long, because Marita support David writing, Catherine by envy living hate, put his manuscript to the fire and then leaves a message of running away. Under Marita’s care, David began to write his favorite short stories again, word for word, and returned to "the garden of Eden." This book was published after Hemingway’s suicide in 1961 , although written in his later years of declining health, but the book is full of vitality and love like fire, is a rare youth novel.
