Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, in Kentucky. When Lincoln was a kid, he was known for his tall, bony, and oversized extremities. His parents were illiterate, and he spent a short amount of time in formal school. However, Lincoln still became an excellent reader at an early age. When Lincoln got older, he returned from Washington in 1849 to continue his law practice. Lincoln also pursued politics and ran several times; unfortunately, he has been defeated on many occasions. Despite Lincoln’s loss, he never gave up. He ran for the next elections until he won as the president of the United States. Lincoln lived his presidential life with constant assassination threats. He also lived with the weight of the Civil War for four years. On April 15, 1865, Abraham Lincoln died after John Wilkes Booth assassinated him at the Ford’s Theater on the night of April 14
