James Augustus Cotter Morison (1832-1888) was an English historian whose essays were highly influenced by Mark Pattison and Carlyle. He is best known for his Life of St. Bernard (1863) and his two contributions to the English Men of Letters Series, Gibbon (1878) and Macaulay (1882).
