Dr Sharon Blackie is an award-winning writer and internationally recognised teacher whose work sits at the interface of psychology, mythology and ecology. Her highly acclaimed books, courses, lectures and workshops are focused on the development of the mythic imagination, and on the relevance of myth, fairy tales and folk traditions to the personal, social and environmental problems we face today. Her first non-fiction book, If Women Rose Rooted, became a word-of-mouth ecofeminist bestseller across the UK and North America, and her books have been translated into multiple languages. Her writing has been published in several newspapers and magazines around the world, and she has appeared on broadcast media such as the BBC and US public radio speaking about her areas of expertise. Sharon lives on a small farm in the Cambrian mountains of Mid Wales with her husband and a miscellany of animals.
