Couverture du Siu Williams-Lemi: The Happy Song (ePUB)

“Te Waiata Koa/The Happy Song” is a bilingual English and Te Reo Maori sing-a-long book for preschoolers. This song is written by Loopy Tunes, who are a sister duo based in Christchurch that run live, interactive music and movement sessions for preschoolers and their caregivers. This is the second book in their Rainbow Children’s Book Collection.

The vision for Loopy Tunes has always been to provide a space that offers musical sessions as an affordable option for families within a local community. Their music sessions have tamariki dancing and singing along to some of their original waiata, as well as some well-known tunes, including “Pēpi Mako” (“Baby Shark” in te reo Māori).

Loopy Tunes are excited to bring you the second instalment of the Rainbow Children’s Book Collection, “Te Waiata Koa/The Happy Song”. This has been a collaborative effort with Christchurch artist and illustrator, Rosina Cater.

A propos de l’auteur

The loves in my life are my children of six,
And we all grow together in a humble home, made of bricks.
I live in the beautiful community of Bishopdale,
Where you can find me walking, without fail, through sun, rain, snow or hail.
I paint every day at my painted wooden table,
Looking out the window at all the beautiful birds perched on telephone cables.
Painting the songs written and sung by Loopy Tunes, has been a fantastical dream,
And with Leah and Siu at the wheel, this is just the beginning for this dynamic, unique,
courageous, kiwi, multicultural, bilingual, happy, loving team!
