Couverture du Tom Reed: Timpson (ePUB)
In 1886 a murder occurred in the little town of Timpson, Texas; a murder that immersed much of East Texas in the effort to bring the killer to justice. A sheriff from nearby Nacogdoches and the family of a Justice of the Peace in the little community of Rainsville were among those who, for more than forty years, were engulfed in the pursuit of the murderer. Along the way both the murderer and a scion of the family learned a new meaning of the word justice and just what was meant by the fifth commandment.

A propos de l’auteur

Tom Reed is the son, grandson, great-grandson and great-great grandson of some of the principal characters in this book. Initially his intention was to tell the story of the Reed’s of Timpson, Texas, but when historic material grew sparse he followed family tradition and did not allow fact to stand in the way of a good yarn. Therefore, this book, while fiction, still contains a great deal of historic fact. Reed is a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. His book ‘For a Time We Were Titans’ is a factual account of his experiences during that war. He is retired from a career evaluating job training programs for their efficiency and effectiveness and is now concentrating on writing. He has made several trips to Timpson, Texas to research the factual information contained in the book. He now divides his time between Jefferson City, Missouri and the family farm in Pacific, Missouri described in the prologue to TIMPSON.
