Lyrics, listening and learning 

It has been noted over the centuries that lyrics from popular music has facilitated learning a foreign language. This is easily noted with the repetitions and rhymes in medieval ballads. Setting words to music makes them memorable and hence easy to learn. Lyrics, language and learning are key concepts in this thesis.

Durante i secoli è stata enfatizzata l’importanza della musica nell’insegnamento di una lingua straniera. Questo è facile da notare grazie alla presenza di rime e ripetizioni nelle ballate medievali. Associare le parole alla musica le rende più facili da memorizzare, dunque più semplici da imparare. Le canzoni, la lingua e il processo di apprendimento sono i concetti-chiave in questa tesi.
