This book has become one of the masterworks of contemporarily famous doctrine of "Qian Xue" and is liked by readers. However, for general readers, some guidance is needed when reading this book. As a result, we compiled this Reader of Tan Yi Lu. We roughly divided it into: 1. Theory of Appreciation, 2. Theory of Creation, 3. Comment on Writer and His Works, 4. Literary Criticism, 5. Stylistic theory, 6. Rhetoric, 7. Style. Several articles are selected from each category and subheadings are added for reviewing. Brief notes and explanations are added at the end of each article so that it can be easily read.
