Hans-Christian Oeser, geboren 1950 in Wiesbaden, lebt in Dublin und Berlin und arbeitet als Literaturübersetzer, Herausgeber und Autor. Er hat u.a. Maeve Brennan, Anne Enright, F. Scott Fitzgerald, D.H. Lawrence, Ian Mc Ewan, Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde und Virginia Woolf übersetzt. Für sein Lebenswerk wurde er 2010 mit dem Heinrich Maria Ledig-Rowohlt-Preis ausgezeichnet.
