Born in South Australia, Julie moved to the Northern Territory in 1970. A loving mother to three daughters, she spent most of her adult life in Darwin, playing and coaching tennis and in the delivery of public policy. In 1988, Julie was recognized in the Women”s Register for her contribution to sport in the NT. In 2000 she was awarded the Australian Sports Medal; in 2004 Julie was admitted as an Associate Fellow to the Australian Institute of Management and in 2011 awarded the Chief Minister”s medal for outstanding service. Julie and her partner now live in Queensland where she is committed to helping people put into words the stories they have to tell.
