Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is conceptualized as a neurobehavioral condition that is characterized by developmentally inappropriate levels of inattention, impulsivity and motor overactivity. It is estimated to be present in 3-7% of school-aged populations and can result in significant impairment in academic, social and family functioning. In this book, the authors present current research in the study of the cognitive symptoms, genetics and treatment outcomes of ADHD.
