Born in the U.S., Coline Covington came to England after receiving her BA from Princeton University. She went on to do graduate work at Cambridge University and at LSE where she received her doctorate in Sociology. She worked for many years as a consultant in the criminal justice system and set up the first mediation scheme in the UK for young offenders with the Metropolitan Police. Coline is a training analyst of the Society of Analytical Psychology and the British Psychotherapy Foundation, former Chair of the British Psychoanalytic Council, and a Fellow of the International Dialogue Initiative, a group formed by Prof. Dr. Vamik Volkan, Lord Alderdice and Dr. Robi Friedman to apply psychoanalytic concepts in understanding political conflict. Coline is an experienced author and is in private practice in London.
