ALVIN ALLEN I earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from South Carolina State University and a master’s degree in educational technology from Webster University. I am currently pursuing an educational specialist degree in technology leadership. I am co-founder of i Legacy Educational Consultant Company, which specializes in building a foundation of excellence in the classroom. I have been a teacher in the field of education for over ten years. Most of my field experiences have been in the middle school grades. For the majority of my professional career, I have a specialized in fostering the lives of inner city students. Through my teaching career, I have always created an atmosphere for students to grow academically and personally. This book is based on some of my former students’ experiences and my own personal growth as an educator. The strategies in this book were used to enhance classroom instruction and engage students. I believe one key element to teaching is creating a bond with students. If a bond is created, the students allow you to give them an unlimited wealth of knowledge. Two essential quotes that drives his class environment are “Hard work is the key success” and “Thinking outside the box is essential to growth and achievement.” STEPHANIE KING A teacher by profession, an educator at heart, I possess an array of qualities that has allowed me to become successful inside and outside the classroom. I have been teaching in the public school arena for over eleven years. My areas of expertise include working with a variety of exceptionalities within the Special Education sector. My passion to lead and teach children with disabilities has allowed me to become the CEO of my own consulting firm, Believers Educational Services. Its educational philosophy is that all children, regardless of physical and mental setbacks can learn. I continue to be recognized within my schools as well as nationally. In 2010, I was selected as Who’s Who Among Teachers. I have served in many leadership capacities including the department chair for my discipline and lead teacher for the Special Education Department at an alternative school in the state of South Carolina. My passion for teaching goes above and beyond standing in front of a class. It continues to flourish each year, and I continue to embracemy calling of being able to impact lives on a daily basis.
