Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. It may be added that the great collections of Alchemy, such as the Theatrum Chemicum and Mangetus, contain colloquies, oommen taries, and enigmas which pretend to elucidate the mysteries of The Turba Philosophorum. While they are of a considerably later date, they at the same time belong to the early period of Latin Alchemy. It may be added also that the editor has collected a consider able amount of material concerning this curious work, which the limits of the present volume preclude him from utilising.
