Scott Fitzgerald was one of the most notable and public American writers during the Roaring Twenties, and well after he had flamed out both professionally and personally, there was a revival of interest in his works, especially The Great Gatsby , which is now considered one of the Great American Novels. His works continue to be viewed as the epitome of the Jazz Age lifestyle, with Fitzgerald writing what he lived.
