Ulrike Thiesmeyer, geb. 1967, studierte Literatur-Übersetzen in Düsseldorf, wo sie auch bis heute lebt. Sie ist als freiberufliche Übersetzerin tätig und hat zahlreiche Romane ebenso wie Sachbücher aus dem Englischen und Französischen ins Deutsche übertragen. Zu den von ihr übersetzten Autoren gehören u.a. Kamila Shamsie, Patrick Lee und William Boyd.
