Mia Pia First Day at School is her second book. Her first book, How to Communicate Better: Getting Your Message Across, was written for the Arthritis Foundation (for which she won an award). Mary Ann live in New Orleans, Louisiana, with her husband (artist, Pedro Palma). He has several permanent exhibits throughout Louisiana, including one with the Art Committee at the Louisiana Governor’s Mansion.
