Peter Kaye is a retired teacher and cancer survivor. When his wife Bet was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia, he became a full time carer. Bet died in November 2015, and it was the emptiness that he felt after his all-encompassing role of carer had ended that was the catalyst for him to write this book.
