I am a 49-year-old, married, semi-retired, mum of three and grandma to one. My husband Brett and I, however, have 6 kids between us. I have my 29-year-old son Sam, 23-year-old daughter Tayla, and our 8-year-old (Oh my god it still worked at that age, wonderful surprise) son Max, and of course, our 3-year-old grandson, Roman. I have always had a quick wit which has often gotten me into trouble as words shoot from my mouth before my brain has time to filter it! I love to invent stories and write poetry. By accident one day, while reading a fairy tale to my son, I started changing words, adding rhyme and the idea for my book was born. Brett, Max and I live on our 55-foot yacht in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. We have just returned from sailing to Fiji and living there for the last 6 months. We homeschool Max, or at least we try! Too many of our family and friends have had their lives cut short, so we live by our motto…. Life is too short, so live for today!
