Clova the Cow and her Field of Friends is a simple story about care and concern for fellow friends.
The book is designed to support a young child's development of knowledge and understanding of the natural world, to inspire a love of nature.
The book is presented in two sections. The first section is the rhyming story of Clova the Cow with a repeated refrain so children may join in. The story is beautifully illustrated by the author. The factual section, easy nature notes, focusses on the life that is evident in the field and may be used by a parent, carer or practitioner to facilitate a child's learning and development. Further aided by some practical activities to enjoy.
A key feature of the story is the use of the cut out bookmark of Clova the Cow. This enables a child to physically interact with the story by placing the bookmark onto the shadow of Clova on each page of the story and complete the scene.

Sobre o autor

Anne Bullen lives in Knaresborough North Yorkshire and the beauty of the landscape seen daily was the inspiration for this book. Anne, her husband and family of four boys all appreciate the beauty of what is literally on their doorstep. Anne is now retired and her career in the early years care and education sector spanned 30 years. Her roles included being a development worker for an educational charity, lecturer in Early Years qualification courses at a local college and a managing director of an Ofsted 'Outstanding' preschool. Anne recognises that the natural world is important to every child's wellbeing and health. Knowledge, creativity, wonder and happiness is out there. Go get it!
