Bram Stoker, born Abraham Stoker on November 8, 1847, in Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland, was an esteemed Irish author celebrated for his quintessential Gothic horror masterpiece, ‘Dracula’ (1897). Stoker’s early years were marred by illness, which relegated him to bed; however, he made a full recovery by his teenage years. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin with honors in mathematics. Initially embarking on a career in civil service, Stoker also cultivated his literary endeavors, eventually becoming the manager of the famous actor Sir Henry Irving and the Lyceum Theatre in London. This position, which spanned nearly three decades, provided Stoker the social sphere to interact with the cream of literary society. Stoker’s contribution to literature was not limited to his iconic vampire novel.
