Ralph Hammond Innes (* 15. Juli 1913 in Horsham; † 10. Juni 1998 in Kersey) war ein englischer Schriftsteller, der über 30 Romane sowie Kinder- und Reisebücher schrieb. Er ließ sich auf seinen Weltreisen zu Abenteuergeschichten inspirieren, die häufig in rauer Natur und auf hoher See spielen. Viele seiner Romane wurden verfilmt, so auch sein Werk “The Wreck of the Mary Deare”, das mit Gary Cooper und Charlton Heston in Deutschland unter dem Titel “Die den Tod nicht fürchten” bekannt wurde.
