Cancer. The very word carries overtones of fear and struggle. Hello Gorgeous! is a book about women who battle cancer and a unique organization that serves them by restoring the beauty in women that cancer steals. 

Hello Gorgeous! of HOPE was founded in 2005 by Kim and Michael Becker. Moved by a desire to use their talents and energies on behalf of those facing the effects of cancer treatment, the Beckers sold their full-service hair salon and set out on a mission to provide surprise makeovers designed to help overcome the negative effects of radiation and chemotherapy. Along with HOPE, a 36′ RV rebuilt as a dayspa, they have taken their program to hundreds of women in communities across the United States. 

Part of the power of this book is in the voices of women who tell their own stories, whether as cancer survivors or as friends or family members. They describe the human side of cancer and its treatments in a way that deepens awareness and affirm the need for hope and personal care as essential elements of the struggle. 

Kim and Michael Becker are award-winning authors and the founders of Hello Gorgeous! of HOPE, Inc., a nonprofit that creates a red-carpet experience for women battling all cancers. They have been married for 20 years and thrive in Indiana with their son, Seth, and a pug named Sam.
