Ntailan Lolkoki wuchs in einem Dorf in der Nähe von Barsaloi im Norden Kenias auf. Mit zwölf Jahren wurde sie nach den Traditionen ihres Stammes beschnitten. Heute lebt die Künstlerin in Berlin und engagiert sich u.a. für das Desert Flower Center, gegen Gewalt an Frauen und gegen Beschneidung.
