Patricia Mc Cormick arbeitete zunächst als freie Mitarbeiterin für verschiedene Zeitungen und Zeitschriften. Dann studierte sie Kreatives Schreiben und ist seitdem als Autorin tätig. Für ihre Romane erhielt sie zahlreiche internationale Auszeichnungen, u.a. den Gustav-Heinemann-Friedenspreis.
