Just like Shakespeare and his plays of British, Cao Xueqin and his The Dream of Red Mansions are part of the immortal soul of our Chinese nation. This book is a written collection of lectures on studies of The Dream of Red Mansions given by the famous writer, Liu Xinwu, in Lecture Room of CCTV-10. It is also the crystallization of the author”s many years” hard work in studying The Dream of Red Mansions. Starting from Qin Keqing, one of the twelve ladies in Jinling, he made a detailed textual research on the live prototypes of the characters in the book and restored the style of the era, in which The Dream of Red Mansions was born.
