This volume contains eleven chapters that detail advances in engineering research. Chapter One discusses a type of Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) that involves an intermediate step of converting digital data into time intervals. Chapter Two evaluates the compatibility between 5G and other services such as point-to-point microwave stations, satellite systems, and ultra wideband devices in the 6425-7125 MHz. Chapter Three proposes detecting problems such as fiber cuts, connector losses, and splice errors from the OTDR signal with the help of a Gradient Boosting Classifier (GBC). Chapter Four introduces the current status of distributed fiber optic temperature sensing (DTS) systems in fire-fighting applications. Chapter Five describes friction stir spot welding (FSSW fundamentals), advantages, and classification. Chapter Six aims to examine the worldwide studies on noise pollution in different areas, discuss the results, and offer suggestions. Chapter Seven considers the tasks performed at a railway simulator to assess the cognitive load of train drivers. Chapter Eight discusses parallel robots from a new perspective. Chapter Nine examines meta-heuristic algorithms for hyperparameter optimization of machine learning models. Chapter Ten discusses entropy generation in bioconvective nano-fluid flow over a flexible inclined cylinder. Lastly, Chapter Eleven details digital to analog converters.
