But fate is stronger than the will of man, and I am powerless to resist the influences brought to induce-nay, to compel-me to alter my determination.’

This book of six short stories, of novella proportions, begins with the story of the book’s title, ‘Uncle Joe, ‘ an adventuresome traveller known as a compelling storyteller. Other stories in this volume include: ‘Zac’s Bride, ‘ ‘Evelyn With The Fairies, ‘ and ‘The Crones of Mersham.’
