He decides to remain in the Klondike himself and forge ahead with this newly discovered lifestyle. Life, passing, and love are three significant subjects of the novel, three of which Smoke has never experienced for himself. Jack London rejuvenates the intolerable environmental elements, however the everyday routine one should experience.
