Martín Fonck es investigador asociado del Research Institute for Sustainability Helmholtz Centre Potsdam y LMU Múnich. En esta última universidad realizó sus estudios de doctorado en el Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society y the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology. Sus investigaciones se centran en el estudio de narrativas e imaginarios de las tecnologías para afrontar la crisis planetaria.
