This novel shows the many paths of life, the family of the author went through, starting with the Concentration Camp of the father in Siberia, his escape, the dramas at home in Transylvania until life could gain the upper hand again. One unfortunate message however comes out of it: The history of war teaches us that it has never taught us.

About the author: Born in Transylvania during World War II, Martin Kari’s life followed many pathways, starting with his time as a refugee in Germany. Technical and then formal higher education prepared the author for life with a sense of exploration, adventure, intellect and humanity. Having worked and lived on four continents as a global citizen he settled in Australia with his wife and six children.
