Michael Kent was born in Boulogne France. His father was American, his mother Australian. A writer, artist, musician, he published Les Maléfices du fardeau d»Atlas, his first book of poetry in 1985. He has written five novels and close to 100 short stories. His writing and, on occasion, art work have found a niche in Happy, Kinesis, The Quill, The Urban Age, Voie Express USA, The Threshold, The Poet»s Domain and The Writer»s Round Table. A former journalist, he studied poetry at the University of Montana under Richard Hugo and edited a literary magazine in college in Brunswick, Maine. He currently earns a living in Washington, DC as a French-English interpreter/translator and receiving royalties from Voie Express USA, a textbook for French-speakers learning American English.
