M. R. James, author of classic ghost stories including ‘Oh, Whistle and I’ll Come to You’, was born in 1862 and died in 1936. He is widely acknowledged as one of the finest and most prolific ghost story writers. Our other 15 authors are the talented winners in a competition run by Saga Magazine.
