‘Rudyard Kipling’ (1865-1936) was born in India, and lived there till he was sent to England for schooling at the age of five. He returned after completing his studies and worked as a journalist and writer for several years. Kipling made his name as a novelist, poet and short-story writer, through iconic works like ‘The Jungle Book, Kim’, ‘If’ and ‘Plain Tales from the Hills’. He is the youngest person to win the Nobel Prize for Literature, which he did in 1907.
