Örtmek Anatoly V. Latyshev & Alexey B Nadykto: Nonlinearity (PDF)
Dr. Uvarova received her M.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics from Tomsk State University (1973). She earned her Ph.D. in Mechanics of liquid, gas and plasma from Moscow Aviation Institute (1982) and Dr.Sc. ( Dr. habil.) degree in Molecular physics from the Saint Peterburg State University (1992). She has been employed as a Lecturer at the Balashov Teachers Institute and as a Research Scientist, Associate Professor and Full Professor at the Tver State Technical University. Since 1996, Dr. Uvarova is a Professor of Mathematics and Head of the Applied Mathematics Department at Moscow State University of Technology "STANKIN". Prof. Uvarova is an expert in mathematical modeling of non-linear phenomena in dispersed systems. Her field of expertise includes mathematical physics, partial differential equations, heat and mass transfer in disperse systems and interaction of electromagnetic fields with nanoparticles. Lyudmila has authored and co-authored over 150 research papers, book chapters and reviews and has supervised over 40 B.Sc. and M.Sc. theses, 10 Ph.D. and 3 Dr.Sc. dissertations. Prof. Uvarova is an Expert of Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation (2001) and Honored Educator of Moscow (2016). The book has two volumes and consists of forty-four chapters, which are divided into five sections: (i) Mathematical treatment of non-linear problems, including the differential equations, numerical methods, algorithms and solutions; (ii) theoretical and computational studies dedicated to the physics and chemistry of advanced materials, nanostructured systems and fractal systems; (iii) articles dedicated to non-linear processes in complex biological processes, systems and objects; (iv) theoretical and modeling studies of kinetics, dynamics and thermochemistry of micro-, meso- and macro-scale systems; and (v) multidisciplinary research focused on forecasting, control and management problems.Target Audience:The target audience of this book includes specialists in a number of fields/subject areas such as applied mathematics, physics, chemistry, nanoscale science and technology, applied biology and medicine, economic theory, applied sociology and control theory interested in studying and solving non-linear problems, which are important in any of the aforementioned fields. Typical potential Reader of this book is a university faculty member, researcher or research engineer working in academia, National Laboratory or corporate business. The minimum education level of a potential Reader is not strictly limited; however, he/she should have above-average knowledge of math, including Calculus, Differential Equations, Statistics and other related disciplines at the college level. This means that minimum education level for a potential Reader of this book is a B.S. or B.A., or third or fourth year of undergraduate studies in Natural or Computer Sciences.
