Dr. Volker Michel ist Professor für Mathematik in den Ingenieurwissenschaften am Department Mathematik der Universität Siegen. Er forscht seit mehreren Jahrzehnten zu mathematischen Methoden vor allem in den Geowissenschaften, der medizinischen Bildgebung und der Simulation industrieller Fertigungsprozesse.
