The ‘Devangana’ novel is based on the last stages events of the twelfth century. At this time, Vikramshila-Udantpuri – Vajasan and Nalanda University were the centers of Vajaayan and Sahajayaan sects due to their influence, Indian Hindu – Shaiv – Shaakti were also getting stuck on the way of the left ideology. This way, in the name of religion, non – religiousness and in the name of right policy, unrighteousness were dominating. In this novel, the story of the East Indian life of the same period is mentioned beautifully. The novel is the story of one rebellion Buddhist Monk, Divodas, who stands up against the misdeeds in the name of religion. He is thrown into prison, calling him crazy and insame. He exposes atrocities through devadasi and sevak happening in the name of religion.
