Renowned for his literary criticism and editorship of the monumental ‘Oxford Book of English Verse 1250–1900, ‘ Quiller-Couch had a profound impact on the scholarship of English literature. Educated at Clifton College, Oxford and later at Trinity College, Cambridge, he graduated with classical honors and embarked on a literary career that combined his creative efforts with critical exploration. His book ‘Green Bays. Verses and Parodies’ mirrors his literary style—witty and infused with a classicist’s flair for form and syntax.
