Jon Mc Gregor wurde 1976 auf den Bermudainseln geboren und wuchs in der Grafschaft Norfolk auf. Er hat bislang einen Erzählungsband und vier Romane veröffentlicht, für die er mehrfach ausgezeichnet worden ist, u.a. mit dem Somerset Maugham Award, dem Betty Trask Award und dem International Dublin Literary Award. Sein Roman “Speicher 13” war 2017 für den Booker Prize nominiert. Jon Mc Gregor lebt in Nottingham.
