The Immortality of the Soul

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. It is said that, whilst yet in the cradle, bees shed honey on his lips; which was considered as a presage Of that astonishing eloquence by which he afterwards distinguished himself above all the Greeks. During his youth, poetry was his favourite study; and he then composed two tragedies and several elegies, all Of which, when he resolved to devote himself to philosophy, he threw into the fire.
