About the author

Janis Harrison is affectionately known throughout the United States as Grand Jan. She is a septuagenarian widow who taught herself how to drive a camper after her husband’s passing. She has since traveled through America camping in her class C-RV. Crisscrossing the country several times, Grand Jan is an avid birder and has seen as many different birds as possible with up to 580 birds on her life list. Her nemesis bird is the illusive Snowy Owl, but never fear, she will find it. Making friends wherever she goes, Grand Jan has done it all from playing the washboard in a jug band in the desert to taking drum lessons at 65. Full of life and fun, Grand Jan is always cooking something in the kitchen or working in her garden when she is home.
