Like many others who have lived unnoticed by much of the world, Chester Warren Roaf unknowingly influenced his grandson as a second father, companion, and hero. C. Steven Roaf grew up in a working class family in New England. After serving more than twenty years in the US Air Force, he spent the next fifteen years working a variety of roles from blue collar laborer to executive manager. Mr. Roaf has a B.A. and MBA degree and is a retired Air Force Officer. Now fully retired, he lives in rural Virginia with his wife.
