‚The Gods of Mars‘ is a science fiction novel written by Edgar Rice Burroughs and published in 1918. It is the second book in the ‚Barsoom‘ series, following ‚A Princess of Mars.‘ The story continues the adventures of John Carter, a former Confederate soldier who finds himself transported to the planet Mars, known as Barsoom by its inhabitants.
