Der Antimonarchist Bentham ist aber auch bekannt für seine scharfe Kritik an der französischen Menschenrechtserklärung, seinen radikalen Atheismus, sein Eintreten für Wucherzinsen und seine Argumente für den legitimen Einsatz der Folter.
