Diane Krauss was born and raised by her nurturing mother and hardworking father, alongside her two older sisters in the Hudson Valley of New York. Books were always a treasure for Diane so she collected and stashed as many as should in her closet as a child and would spend hours reading to her sisters, or stuffed animals-whoever would listen. She was a preschool teacher and activist before getting married in 2017 to her sweetheart and love of her life, Mark. She began writing her first young adult novel while on their honeymoon backpacking through Europe after discussing politics with the locals in small villages throughout each country. Diane still lives in New York”s Hudson Valley where she continues to write children stories. She lives with her husband, their two huskies and their son, Kai, who she considers to be the greatest treasure of all.
