Fernando Canet is an associate professor in media and communication studies at the Fine Arts College (Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain). He has been a visiting research fellow at Goldsmiths College, New York University and University of Kent. He has been the guest editor of four Special Issues: Hispanic Research Journal on contemporary Spanish cinema, L’Atalante on reflexive practices in Spanish cinema, Continuum: Journal of Media & Cultural Studies on perpetrator documentary film and Catalan Journal of Communication & Cultural Studies on documentary film mutations for social change. His latest articles have been published in Studies in Documentary Films, The Journal of Popular Culture, Popular Communication, Journal of Film and Video, Journal of Screenwriting, International Journal of Cultural Studies and International Journal of Media & Cultural Politics.
