Eli Jaxon-Bear wurde 1947 unter dem Namen Elliot Jay Zeldow in New York City geboren. Im Alter von 24 Jahren begann er seine spirituelle Suche. Sie führte ihn um die ganze Welt und machte ihn mit vielen Traditionen bekannt. 1990 fand er in Indien seinen wahren Lehrmeister Sri H. W. L. Poonja, der ihn in die Weisheit des Enneagramms einweihte. Nach Abschluss seiner Lehrzeit schickte ihn Poonja in die Welt zurück. Seither widmet sich Jaxon-Bear als Herausgeber und Autor zahlreicher Bücher der Verbreitung der Lehren seines Meisters.
