Fiona Jeffries, geboren 1968 in Vancouver, promovierte Kommunikationswissenschaftlerin, befasst sich als Autorin, Dozentin und Aktivistin mit den Themen Gewaltfreiheit, Recht auf Stadt und globale soziale Gerechtigkeit. Darüber hinaus engagiert sie sich in alternativen Medienprojekten. In Kanada lehrt sie an der Carleton University im Programm zur Förderung der Menschenrechte, zudem ist sie Gastwissenschaftlerin im Centre for Policy Studies on Culture and Communities der Simon Fraser University. Fiona Jeffries lebt in Ottawa.
